Leather breastplate with reinforced stitching, designed and crafted with the purpose of preventing upward movement of the horse's head, using the rings to act directly on the mouth through the reins passing through the ring at the end of the fork. The reins must be used with egg-shaped reins, otherwise the martingale can slide forward and catch on the ring of the bit, blocking the horse's head and risking a fall.
